一词多义句拾趣

　　英语中一词多义的现象很普遍，但有些同学对此不够重视，因而在做阅读理解和翻译练习时，常常闹出笑话。现列举数例，帮助同学们理解和记忆。
　　1．The nearest bank is near the bank of this river.
　　最近的一家银行在这条河的堤岸附近。
　　2．He booked a book from a bookseller.
　　他从一个书商那儿预订了一本书。
　　3．The bright boy is learning English in a bright room.
　　这个聪明的孩子在明亮的房间里学英语。
　　4．Mr Brown has a brown cap and Mrs Green bought a pair of green shoes.
