教材：义务教育课程标准实验教科书英语（PEP）五年级下册。
教学内容：B Read and write。这是一节阅读教学课，教学内容以篇章的形式出现。
学情分析：五年级的学生已经储备了一定的英语语言知识，并具备了一些综合语言运用能力。学生的思维活跃且富有表现力，他们迫切希望参与活动并在活动中检验自己的学习成果，获得心理满足感。单一的情境教学已经不能满足小学高段学生的需要，进入阅读教学，教师要拓展思维，寻求符合学生身心特点，活泼又不失深度的教学方法和手段。
教学前的思考：本单元教学内容涉及季节、天气以及在不同的季节里不同的活动。按常规做法，要复习有关主题的内容，设计与主题有关的活动。面对“Read and write”阅读材料以及开放性的问题，我们可以设计任务型活动，重点复习四季的单词和有关四季的句型，进而在阅读策略指导方面做一点尝试，以培养学生获取和筛选信息的能力，通过阅读培养学生的书面表达能力。
教学重、难点：以读促写，小组合作写小诗。
教学目标：1 能够听懂、读懂短文并回答教师的提问；2 初步了解阅读文章的不同方式；3 以短文的语料为基础，写一首小诗。
教具准备：1 录音机；2 单词卡片。
教学过程：
Step 1 Warm-up
1 Greetings
T:Good morning,boys and girls.
Ss:Good morning,Ms Zhang.
2 Let’s chant
T:How many seasons are there in a year?
Ss:Four.
T:What are they?
Ss:Spring,summer,fall and winter.
T:Do you like summer?
S1:Yes.
T:Why?
S1: ...
T:Which is your favourite season?
S2:Spring.
T:Why?
S2: ...
设计意图：简单的话语缩短了师生之间的距离，吸引了学生的注意力，使学生较快地进入英语学习的良好状态。
Step 2 Presentation
1.Listen to the tape.
2.Show the task.
T:Today we’ll learn a passage about seasons.
3.Show the words by using words cards:turn,come out,pick.Teach and learn the words.
4.Listen again.
Students listen to the passage again and answer the questions.
T:What did you hear?What other things can you think about?Can you tell something about summer?
设计意图：通过听短文，学生对季节的主题有一个初步了解，为下一步教学打下基础。通过单词卡片教学新词，直观、明了。单词教学为学生理解短文做好准备。让学生带着问题再听文章，实现由听到说的转化。
Step 3 Drill
1.Read the passage paragraph by paragraph.
2.Read the full passage.
3.Make a conclusion of the passage.
设计意图：采用不同的形式阅读短文，层层推进，减轻阅读的难度。让学生在训练中初步了解“分段读”和“通篇读”的阅读形式，以及概括短文大意的方法。

1.Write a poem.
2.Read the poem.

设计意图：小组合作写小诗，使所学知识得到应用和拓展。在小组合作中培养学生运用英语进行交流的习惯。
Step 5 Summary
T:Boys and girls,How Zip and Zoom enjoy life in the four seasons!Which season do you like best?Or which is your favourite season?Why?
设计意图：通过小结，让学生充分表达对自然、对生活的感受。
Step 6 Homework
Write a sentence by using turn,come out or pick.
